The IRONMAN Les Sables-d’Olonne Vendée will make its long-awaited return in 2027 as a full-distance event!
Following the IRONMAN 70.3 held in 2026, athletes will once again take on the full-distance format at the next edition, scheduled for Sunday, 27 June 2027.

The return of the full-distance format to Les Sables-d’Olonne
Following the first full-distance edition held in 2025, the full IRONMAN will return to Les Sables-d’Olonne in 2027.
This exceptional event will bring together thousands of triathletes ready to take on one of the most demanding challenges in endurance sport, in a unique setting between the Atlantic Ocean, the Vendée coastline and the surrounding countryside.
The full-distance IRONMAN consists of:
- A 3.8 km swim in the Atlantic Ocean
- A 180 km cycle through the Vendée countryside
- A 42.2 km run, the equivalent of a full marathon
The final routes and schedule for the 2027 edition will be announced by the organisers at a later date.
When will the 2027 IRONMAN Les Sables-d’Olonne take place?
The 2027 IRONMAN Les Sables-d’Olonne Vendée is scheduled for Sunday, 27 June 2027.
The IRONMAN Village and various activities are expected to begin several days before the race. To make the most of the event and enjoy a relaxing recovery after crossing the finish line, we recommend planning a stay of at least one week in Les Sables-d’Olonne.
The final date and official programme are still subject to confirmation by the organisers.
